Liverpool Show Tickets for Liverpool Acoustic Live, Featuring The Grande
Liverpool Acoustic Live, Featuring The Grande show at The View Two Gallery
Show Description
Liverpool Acoustic's first event of the year features a choice selection of acts from the local music scene.
The Grande are Liverpool's premier alt-country band, and are riding high having released their fantastic debut album in November 2011. This is real good, feel good music - if The Eagles came from Liverpool, this is what they'd sound like.
Geoghegan Jackson are duo Susan Geoghegan on guitar and Helan Jackson on vocals. Together they make great music, influenced along the way by John Martyn, Patti Smith and Nick Cave. Their new EP Parlour In The Sun is due to be released this month too on Lapwing Records.
Simon Cousins is a singer-songwriter and musician, who was a member of Liverpool indie country rock band The Onset and folk rockers Ophiuchus. He studied music at the Liverpool Music College and has a degree in philosophy from Liverpool University. His solo work is in an acoustic, folk / country genre, described by Tim Peacock of Whisperin and Hollerin' online magazine as "showcasing a fluid finger-picking style and a gentle, unobtrusive voice which nonetheless carries a determined presence."
Cherry Colby is an acoustic Singer/Songwriter, originally from Liverpool but now based in Yorkshire. Cherry has been writing and recording material for her new EP released late September 2011. Her track 'Liverpool Lights' has already been featured on BBC Introducing this year and another track 'Give You My All', was featured on Yorkshire Coast Radio 'Undiscovered'.
